Description
The Gabbs own 20 hectares of the most gorgeous vineyards in South Africa - and it's mighty fine terroir too, nestled on the Schapenberg Hills above 350-million-year-old decomposed granite. Originally from Shropshire in the UK, the family purchased the land in 1995 and have never looked back. Today they turn out a range of varietals with assistance from the cooling 'Cape Doctor' wind that breezes in from the nearby Atlantic Ocean and False Bay. This 100% Sauvignon Blanc is harvested from limestone and alluvial soils and shows notes of gooseberry, white peach, passionfruit and citrus. Refreshing and lively acidity makes it an ideal partner for seafood and white meats.
