I have several license partners in Japan, and Inoue Sei produce Simon Carter jackets for their domestic market. Each season we bring a very small number into the UK, and they always sell out. Both the fabric and the garment are manufactured there, and the quality is simply superb. The fabric is a blend of polyester and Washi (I had to look it up, too). This latter is a paper fabric, derived from the inner bark of the mulberry tree. Its highly durable and allows the fabric to have a very open weave, making it so effective at dispersing heat.
