Description
Gaillac is one of the oldest winemaking appellations of France. It lies north of Toulouse, in the southwest, close to Cahors and is best known for its light, crisp whites, sometimes with a hint of petillance. Just what you'll find in the appetising Aura. Its grapes were picked especially early in the season, each morning at the break of dawn (a time known as 'aura'), to lend a real tang of freshness to the fruit and also to allow this wine to be naturally just 9% alcohol. Largely Loin de l'Oeil, the main grape of Gaillac, meaning 'far from the eye', with a quarter Floreal, it's a super fresh, citrusy, thirst-quenching white. Chill down and enjoy the wine on its own or with light dishes such as grilled fish, salad or sushi.
