Description
In 2006, when John Glaser and the Compass Box team first introduced The Spice Tree, they never dreamed it would cause such a stir. But it caused shockwaves in the Scotch Whisky world due to its 'unconventional' ageing method. It broke the rules, so they set to work to create the same flavours legitimately! Working with friends in France and Scotland, they developed a new, hybrid oak cask with French oak for the heads and US oak for the body. Three years later, The Spice Tree returned, as delicious as the original. It's blended from three Highland single malts, while its richness comes from these custom-made barrels which impart rich spice, toffee and vanilla notes. A worthy Triple Gold medal winner. Sip neat or use in a whisky cocktail.
