This 18348 is the perfect synergy between military history and the prestigious association which relates with the Rolex Day-Date. This Qaboos watch, more specifically a Khanjar (the royal emblem of Oman), has an embossed the case-back and box. In 1970 the British Army assisted with a coup d'état in support of the Sultan Qaboos Bin Sa'id of Oman. Rolex watches with Qaboos dials and Khanjar emblems were gifted to military, businessmen & politicians who helped the growth of Omanite diplomatic provenance from the 1970s. This Day-Date was gifted by the Sultan of Oman to Brigadier Aldwin Wight from the SAS for his involvement in the training and establishment of the SSF (Sultan's Special Forces). The watch comes with provenance and photography of the Brigadier and the Sultan and his forces.
