A fine red Burgundy that tastes way above its simple appellation. That's because the fruit comes from 50-year-old vineyards just below Volnay, giving the wine terrific intensity as well as some of the flavour and style of that top appellation. Joseph Voillot is a superb, sixth-generation family estate that is meticulous in producing wines which speak clearly of fruit and origin, while avoiding layers of showy new oak.
