Marlborough's Forrest estate was founded in 1988, one of the first in the region. That was by two doctors - John and Brigid. Both very scientifically grounded, they have over the years pioneered many things - including the introduction of Albariño to the region and screwcaps, for which John is a passionate advocate. A man with a big presence and unbounded energy (he needs it!), John has been the winemaker from the start, while his daughter Beth, after a stint abroad, is now taking up the reins in the cellar.
