31-band high-precision lossless PEQ The SA1, unlike most similar products, supports a 31-band high-precision lossless PEQ that can be used in all input modes. Through the FIIO Control app, you can fine-tune and calibrate the frequency response curve. For problems such as non-flat frequency response curves caused by complex room reverberation and standing waves, you can take control and optimize the sound thanks to the PEQ. *PEQ adjustment is currently only supported via the control app Variety of inputs and outputs The SA1 is a pair of active speakers with a wide variety of inputs and outputs when compared to similarly priced products. It includes RCA and 3.5mm analogue inputs; a built-in DSP; supports USB, coaxial, and optical digital inputs as well as high-res Bluetooth input. Particularly noteworthy of the SA1 is the built-in phono preamp, allowing even entry-level products to shine. The SA1 is also equipped with a subwoofer output, allowing the SA1 active speakers to fit perfectly within your home theatre setup. The SA1 covers most usage cases for listeners looking for a speaker within its price range. Supports LDAC high-res Bluetooth In addition to a variety of analogue and digital inputs, the SA1 also supports LDAC high-definition Bluetooth decoding and Bluetooth version 5.4, which allow for wireless high-bit-rate audio up to 990kbps for richer sound. Thanks to the high-resolution digital inputs and LDAC support, the SA1 is both Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified. *Bluetooth version: 5.4 Multiple built-in sound presets via the control app The SA1 comes with eight sound presets and allows you to save up to three custom PEQ setups, all of which can be adjusted through the FIIO Control app. In addition to the typical pop, jazz, classical, R&B, and dance sound presets, there is also a specially-tuned monitoring-style curve that compensates the frequency response curve to a flat line, allowing the SA1 to transform into active desktop studio monitor speakers. *For detailed instructions on PEQ setup, please refer to the SA1 quick start guide and the official FAQ. 3.5-inch wood fibre woofer - Compact yet powerful Although the SA1 is an entry-level product, its woofer is the same 3.5-inch size as that of the SP3/SP3 BT and is made of the same wooden fibre pulp manufacturing process as in FT1 wood headphones. The pure pulp fibre diaphragm is both lightweight and sturdy, and outputs rich sound. By adjusting the pulp material, ratio, and the proportion of long and short fibres, we made the diaphragm more rigid and fine-tuned the sound. The wooden fibre diaphragm has a thick and rich sound, with dense and lush vocals. Due to these advantages, it is no wonder that other well-known brands utilize this kind of driver in their speakers even now. Additionally, the 3.5-inch woofer is paired with a large 75mm flexible suspension, allowing that driver to achieve bass extension down to 65Hz. 3/4 inch aluminium-magnesium alloy dome tweeter The SA1 uses a monitor-grade aluminium-magnesium diaphragm dome tweeter that provides crisp, clear sound. It brings a uniquely enjoyable listening experience with plenty of detail. Acoustic design 2.0 - Active electronic two-way crossover The SA1 is designed to be a set of professional active speakers. The crossover point is set at 3.5 kHz, which best suits the characteristics of the drivers, power supply, and circuitry – maximizing the SA1’s sound quality. The SA1 employs a two-way second-order active filter circuit to enhance the flexibility and control precision of the crossover. This crossover design effectively isolates each driver's signal from the others – leading to reduced intermodulation distortion, avoided driver overload, and significantly improved power efficiency. Built-in phono preamp The SA1 is equipped with a built-in phono preamp, designed with standard RIAA equalization in order to ensure faithful reproduction of sound from your vinyl records. When using a vinyl turntable without a built-in preamp (the vinyl turntable only has PHONO OUT), you can switch the SA1 to the PHONO setting to use the internal SA1 phono preamp. If the vinyl turntable already has a built-in preamp (such as the FIIO TT13), simply switch the input toggle to RCA IN. Subwoofer out - Instantly transform into a HiFi 2.1 system Due to popular demand, the SA1 has been equipped with an RCA subwoofer output. Use the SUB OUT connector to connect to an active subwoofer to form a 2.1 system for better bass performance, even in large rooms. MDF cabinet – A natural sound The SA1’s cabinet is made of high-density MDF with a thickness of up to 12mm. The top and sides of the cabinet adopt a 9mm thick imitation solid wood veneer, which can effectively reduce sound resonance for a purer and more natural sound.
