Description
This bright and fruity red pays homage to the beautiful creature that inspired it. Fire was born a carriage horse. Watching this high spirited, tenacious animal that radiated life was heart-warming. Such was her wild nature that she could never be put under harness. Nowadays, an old photo of Fire and her foal sits on the mantlepiece in the winery's tasting room. Visitors can picture her unbridled joy with this opulent, deep ruby Cabernet. Most of the grapes come from the valley of wine and roses, Robertson, which has some of South Africa's best winegrowing areas. A hot sunny climate, cooled by ocean breezes, result in healthy ripe grapes and fruit-filled wines. Full of ripe cassis fruit, it's ideal with a hearty stew or at a barbecue.
