Since the renowned Antinori (of Super Tuscan fame) bought a property in Umbria, wine buffs have begun to take note of the terrific reds and whites from the region. It lies in central Italy, next door to Tuscany, and is probably most famous for Orvieto. However, in recent years, it has shown its strength to be reds from Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Cabernet Sauvignon.
