Description
For 50 years Julien Bouchard dedicated himself to making some of the finest wines in Burgundy. In 1955, without anyone to leave his winery and vineyards to, he chose Albert Bichot to continue his legacy. A wise choice - Bichot has been rated Burgundy's best producer of both the region's red and white wines, and a number of their releases have become great favourites with our customers. This is their classic Petit Chablis - Chardonnay grown on brown limestone soil, rather than the Chablis's kimmeridgian clay, lending intense citrusy fruit and a bright minerality, with lees ageing for extra roundness. Crisp and well balanced, it's best served cellar cool, with white meat dishes - creamy chicken pie or pork casserole - or panfried salmon.
