Description
Beaujolais is on the comeback thanks to great family estates like this. Domaine Piron was founded during the reign of Louis XIII and today has 95 hectares of vines throughout Beaujolais' finest villages, a third of them in Morgon. 14th-generation winemaker Dominique Piron has joined with a friend from the appellation, Julien Revillon, and together they have a vision to produce Beaujolais as fine as any Burgundy. Le Parfum is a celebration of the pure drinkability of their great wines. No pretensions, just luscious, juicy berry fruit that is incredibly moreish. Why Vin de France on the label? Well, alongside the Gamay grape, there's a little dark, rich Gamaret, not allowed under Beaujolais rules, but all the more moreish for that!
