Description
Our Epiphanie label is usually reserved for very top wines from Bordeaux - Premier or Grand Cru Classé - from wineries that are willing to part with a little excess stock, as long as we don't reveal the source. Here, however, we have a supremely elegant, top-class white from South Africa and one of its most premium regions - Constantia. Royalty of Europe were praising the sweet wines from there over 200 years ago. L'Epiphanie however is firmly in the crisp, dry category, a pure-fruit, elegant, mineral-laced Sauvignon Blanc from high-altitude vineyards looking over False Bay. Picked early, slowly fermented with wild yeasts and aged long on its lees for a little creaminess, this is a most elegant white, great with seafood or Japanese cuisine.
