Description
At the heart of the spirits produced by the Oxford distillery is the seed. The seed that grows the grain that is distilled into whisky. This isn't any bulk-bought seed. This is painstakingly researched heritage grains, once used in medieval times. They adapt to their local surroundings to produce unique flavours, as well as plenty of biodiversity above and below the soil. The archaeobotanist who discovered them was John Letts. Founders of the distillery met John at a farmers market and thanks to a chance conversation, the venture began. Easy Ryder is a blend of spirits from eight American oak barrels of different toasts, plus one formerly used for Portugal's Moscatel Roxo wine. Blended, they produce a very smooth, mellow and complex whisky.
