Ever wondered where and when wine was born? Many believe it was Georgia as early as 6,000 BC. In those days grapes were allowed to ferment in clay amphorae (qvevri), largely buried underground. A method, funnily enough, some of the smartest Bordeaux cellars have today returned to. This is a terrific modern white from a cellar founded in 1962 to sell bulk wine to Russia.
