Description
The Rhône always delivers rich, warming flavours and luxuriously ripe fruit, but this selection takes it to the next level. You start in the southern Rhône enclave of Ventoux with Terrasses de Safres made by Famille Perrin, the famous name behind the iconic Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Père Guillot Sablet combines dense black fruits with violets, wild herbs and spices. Then head to the famed Cru of Vacqueyras for Montirius Le Village with succulent berries and smoky complexity. Closing the case in fine style is a Closeraie des Anges (worth £30), a profound red from the fabled vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
