Description
Founded in 1883, Trapiche is one of Argentina's leading wineries. Twice they have won 'Argentine Wine Producer of the Year' at the International Wine & Spirit Competition and in 2019 'New World Winery of the Year'. Every year, Daniel Pi, one of the most capable and knowledgeable winemakers in the country, chooses the three best Malbecs from a collection of 90 separate vineyards for their premium Single Vineyard range. The grapes for the Finca Orellana come from a magnificent, 70-year-old, high-altitude, slow-ripening vineyard. They were hand harvested, vinified in small open fermenters and matured for 18 months in new French oak. Silky, elegant, with violet hints, black fruit and complex, integrated oak, this is a great red with roast lamb.
