In 1958 in Sicily's town of Menfi, 68 winemakers signed a pact to preserve the island's vineyards and thereby a way of life. 60+ years later, this cooperative has been named 'Winery of the Year' twice - in 2018 by Vini d'Italia and 2017 by Germany's Weinwirtschaft. It's also gained top marks in the renowned Gambero Rosso wine guide.
