Description
Gavi is a buzz word among lovers of Italian whites, and the mineral, citrus crispness of Villa Broglia Gavi is exceptionally fine. Records show the estate's Piedmont vineyards date from AD 972. Originally called La Meirana, the property was purchased by textile entrepreneur Bruno Broglia in 1972. The family's vineyards lie in the classico part of the region, where the hand-harvested Cortese vineyards enjoy 'best of the best' Gavi di Gavi status. Their wines regularly score 90 points or more, and three bicchieri (top rating) from Gambero Rosso. Bruno's sons Paolo and Piero are delighted with the 2022, with 93pts and a Double Gold. It's a racy, dry classic, with floral, citrus freshness. Enjoy with antipasti, panfried fish or herby chicken.
