On its fourth release, Telmo Rodriguez's Yjar has built up a cult following as one of the region's most exciting Riojas. The grapes come from a plot within a 'Grand Cru' triangle of Labastida, San Vicente and Peñacerrada. Here are some of the oldest goblet-trained high-altitude vineyards (600-800m altitude) in the sub region of Rioja Alavesa.
