Description
We are longstanding fans of Yuli Yamantiev's fruity Shiraz. Now they have made a special edition red. Also from Shiraz, the Grand Reserve, uses the best grapes of the vintage. Yuli's family winery has a story of persistence. Opening in the 1900s in Bulgaria's southwest, their wines were already winning Golds in London as early as 1907. Fast forward to 1945, Russian tanks rolled in and the family lost winery and land. Years later, in the 1990s, Yuli and wife Ivana discovered another wine estate in need of repair and set about restoring it. It's been tough, but hard work has seen success.
