Description
Jurançon is an amazing white from SW France that offers you a palate of flavours beyond imagining. Luscious, ripe, weighty and mouthfilling, with an array of dreamy bonbon aromas, cut through by a dazzling mineral freshness. Tony Laithwaite discovered one 40 years ago and our good winemaker friend out there today, Lionel Osmin, has now found us the fabulous Cami Salié. It's a very fine white from north of Jurançon, close to a route along which Salies de Bearn salt used to be transported to Pau, hence the wine's name. It is a blend of Gros and Petit Manseng, both high grown, but one from Monein terroir for richness, the other from Chapelle de Rousse for a fresher style. Aged 10 months on lees, this wine needs no oak. A very special cuvée.
